What time does the cinema open and close?

The cinema opens up to 30 minutes before show time.

The cinema bar area is open to both cinema guests and others from 12.00 noon until the market closes.

The cinema opens at 10:00 am on Saturday for Kids Club.

Do you sell snacks?

We offer a selection of snacks to enjoy during your movie.  All our food is sustainably sourced and non-GMO.

We do have nuts on our menu so if you have a nut allergy please be advised that we cannot guarantee that nuts won’t be in the cinema during your screening.

How do I book tickets?

We have made it as simple as possible to book tickets online, via your mobile or in person at the cinema.

To book tickets you can either click on the “book” button directly for your film option or click on “now showing” to see a list of our films and events listings.  Once you have selected the film or event you want to see click on the preferred time which will then take to you the booking page to log in as a member or non-member to select your seats, any food or drink combinations and complete the transaction.

Come to the cinema in person and our Cinema team are happy to help you purchase your tickets and show you the seating options.

Do you have a booking fee?

Booking fee is 50p per ticket and no fee at the box office.

How can I find out what’s on?

The easiest, simplest and most accurate way to check what is showing is to view the latest films.

If you’d like to get advance screening information you can also sign up for our newsletter or follow our social media for the latest news and up and coming releases and events.

Can I get a refund?

Cinema tickets once purchased are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

What time does the feature film start?

The feature film starts approximately 10 minutes after the advertised programme time.

At Moving Pictures Cinema, we want to make our screenings memorable and provide film lovers that little bit extra, so when we can we will be showing “behind the scenes” footage, Director’s cuts etc. so make sure to come early.

Moving Pictures Cinema reserves the right to refuse admission to latecomers

What are the age restrictions for films?

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) certifies all films in the UK. These age restrictions are designed to protect the viewer. Moving Pictures Cinema are obliged to ensure all guests meet the age requirements of the films they choose.

Can a 12 to 14-year-old watch a 15 rated movie with an adult/parent present?

No, the BBFC requirements apply at all times.

Can I take a baby into a screen?

We welcome babies in all our cinemas, however, please note that age restrictions apply – babies will only be admitted into U, PG and 12A certificates.

Baby Club

We will have specific screenings for new parents and their babies. These screenings are only for parents and guardians and their babies so, there’s no need to worry about disturbing other guests while your film’s playing.

We want you and your little one to be able to enjoy a day out to the cinema. We will do everything we can to make you and your baby feel welcome and comfortable.

Softer volume. Ever-so-slightly brighter lights. Our special in-screen conditions are a lullaby to your baby. This is a peaceful setting, where you can gently rock your little one away to the land of nod and ease yourself into the world on-screen.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Yes, there are baby changing facilities in the Mercato Metropolitano market

Can I bring my older children with me to the screening if I have a toddler and a baby?

Yes, you can.

How old do you have to be for a child's ticket?

Child tickets are charged for those aged under 15. Concessions can apply to adult tickets (15+) if you are a senior or student. Ticket prices are shown by film.

What ID do I need to prove my age?

We will accept passports/student cards and validate cards as suitable forms of identification. All must clearly indicate the recipient’s date of birth.

What ID do I need if I purchase a student ticket?

A valid university card or Student ID card.

Do you accept CEA cards?

Do you screen subtitled shows?

Films not in the English Language are subtitled unless otherwise stated.

Do you screen subtitled shows for the Hard of Hearing?

We will have limited screenings and films. Please go to our website for films that are marked as Hard for Hearing.

Do you offer screenings for people with autism?

We currently don’t have Autism screenings but are looking into this. We’d love to hear from you if this is something you’d like us to schedule by contacting us on 0203 383 0380 or info@movingpicturescinema.co.uk.

Does the cinema have disabled access?

We do have access for wheelchairs and are on ground level.  There is an accessible toilet  in the Mercato Metropolitano market.

I was unhappy with my cinema visit. Who do I complain to?

We are sorry if you didn’t enjoy your Moving Pictures Cinema experience. Please speak to the Cinema Manager on the day, call us on 0203 383 0380 or email us  info@movingpicturescinema.co.uk so we can understand what the problem was.

We want you to have a wonderful time and would welcome you speaking to us during your visit, so we can try and make your experience better on the day rather than you go away unhappy with your experience.

I have been double charged, what shall I do?

Email us at info@movingpicturescinema.co.uk call us at 0203 383 0380 detailing the charge and we will investigate the double charge and take appropriate action.

Do you have a membership scheme?

We would love for you to become a valued member.   Our Membership gives you access to special preview screenings and special events, as well as a complimentary ticket on your birthday.

You also get 10% discount on all food and drink every visit even if you just come to hang out in the bar and not see a film.

How long is the membership for?

Moving Pictures Cinema Memberships are for 12 months and you will have the choice to renew before your membership expires. We will contact you one month before to remind you.

I’ve renewed my Membership; do I need a new membership card?

No, your current membership card will still be recognised.

What happens if I lose my membership card?

Please email us at info@movingpicturescinema.co.uk and we can arrange for you to collect a replacement card on your next visit to the cinema.

Can I cancel my membership?

You can only cancel your membership within14 days of purchasing online and you have not used the membership. Please contact us on info@movingpicturescinema.co.uk or call us on 0203 383 0380 to cancel your membership.

One a membership has been used the terms of membership are accepted and Moving Pictures Cinema are under no obligation to offer a refund.

I’ve renewed my Membership, do I need a new membership card
No, your current membership card will still be recognised as your Membership is unique to you.

As a Member do I get the 10% discount on private hires costs?

No, private hires are not public screenings and are not eligible for the terms of membership.

 

Can I host a film festival?
